Do Hoang Tuong and Nguyen Tan Cuong, two outstanding oil painters from Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon), are part of an informal group of HCMC painters who meet regularly and have exhibited together over recent years. While it can be said that Tuong, 38, and Cuong, 45, influence each others work they have clearly distinct styles. Tuong graduated from the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts College in 1979 and Cuong graduated from the Saigon Fine Arts College in 1973. "Saigon Perspectives" an exhibition of their work at Pacific Bridge September 18th through November 7th 1998.
